Headline numbers rarely tell the whole story. The same drawdown limit can be static or trailing, a daily loss limit can be measured on balance or equity, and news, EA and weekend rules can differ between the evaluation and the funded account. Each firm's page quotes these rules program by program, with the official source and the date checked.

Prices are the firm's published prices by account size, and any discount code a firm publishes itself is listed separately. Before you buy, check the firm's restricted-country list, which Prop Firm Mirror shows exactly as the firm publishes it.

Questions

What is a forex prop firm?

A forex prop firm gives traders an account for currency pairs and other CFDs, such as gold, indices and oil, and pays a share of the profits under its rules. You usually pass a paid evaluation first, or buy an instant account, and trade on platforms such as MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, TradeLocker or DXtrade. Rules on drawdown, payouts and trading style differ widely, which is why it pays to compare forex prop firms before you buy.

What is the difference between 1-step, 2-step and instant funding?

A 1-step challenge has one evaluation phase with a single profit target. A 2-step challenge splits the evaluation into two phases, usually with a higher target in the first, and 3-step programs add a third. Instant funding skips the evaluation and gives you a funded account straight away. Firms balance these with different drawdown limits, profit splits and prices, so compare the whole program, not just the number of steps.

What is the difference between static and trailing drawdown?

Static drawdown is a fixed floor, usually set from your starting balance, that never moves. Trailing drawdown rises as your balance or equity reaches new highs, so profit you give back counts against you. End-of-day trailing updates only at the daily close, and some firms stop trailing once the floor reaches the starting balance. Each program on Prop Firm Mirror states its drawdown type as well as the limit.

Which prop firms allow news trading?

It depends on the firm, the program and often the account stage. Some firms allow news trading on every account, others block trades for a few minutes around high-impact releases, and some apply that window only on funded accounts. Each firm's page quotes its news rule per program, and the interactive comparison can filter to programs that allow news trading, including those that allow it with conditions.

Can I use EAs or copy trading with a forex prop firm?

Rules vary by firm and program. Some firms allow expert advisors freely, some allow them with conditions, such as bans on high-frequency or arbitrage strategies, and some do not allow them at all. Copy trading is often limited to copying between your own accounts. Each firm's page quotes its EA and copy-trading rules per program, and the interactive comparison can filter to programs that allow EAs.

Which countries are restricted at forex prop firms?

Each firm sets its own list. Lists usually cover sanctioned countries, and many firms add others or restrict a country only on certain programs or brands. Prop Firm Mirror shows every firm's list exactly as published, with its source and date, and the interactive comparison can check availability for your country. A country missing from a list does not guarantee the firm will accept you, since payment methods and KYC checks can still differ.
